Bangkok: Phumtham Wechayachai, the Acting Prime Minister, and his wife, Mrs. Apinya Wechayachai, signed a book to offer best wishes to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, on the occasion of her birthday on August 12, 2025. The event took place at 8:30 a.m. in the Red Room, Royal Household Bureau Building 904, within the Grand Palace.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham, alongside Mrs. Apinya, participated in this ceremonial gesture. They were joined by the Deputy Prime Minister and his spouse, who also attended the event. The ceremony included presenting flower vases in front of the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
The offerings were made in three separate presentations: the first by the Acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister in the name of “Prime Minister and Cabinet”, the second by the Acting Prime Minister and his wife as “Prime Minister and his wife”, and the third by the wives of the Acting Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister as “Cabinet Spouses”.
The ceremony concluded with the Acting Prime Minister and his wife signing the book of best wishes and paying their respects to the portrait of His Majesty.
