Actress Sentenced to Two Months in Prison for Drunk Driving in Phra Nakhon Nuea

Phra nakhon nuea: The court sentenced the actress to two months in prison for drunk driving, a 4,000 baht fine, and a two-year suspended sentence.

According to Thai News Agency, the court sentenced actress “Marie” to two months in prison for drunk driving and refusing to blow a breathalyzer. She was fined 4,000 baht and her driver’s license was suspended for six months. She confessed and received a two-year suspended sentence. Her male friend who rudely approached the police was also sentenced.

The Phra Nakhon Nuea District Court found Ms. Marie Brenner guilty of resisting an officer’s order and fined her 1,000 baht. She pleaded guilty to the drunk driving charge and was sentenced to two months in prison and a 4,000 baht fine. The jail term was suspended for two years. She was also ordered to undergo one year of probation, requiring her to report to the police three times and perform 12 hours of community service. Her driver’s license was suspended for six months.

Mr. Atsamkon, the male friend who accompanied him, was charged with “intimidating an official in the performance of his duties, insulting an official in the performance of his duties, or because he was acting in the performance of his duties, resisting or obstructing an official or a person legally required to assist an official in the performance of his duties.” The defendant confessed. The Phra Nakhon Nuea District Court sentenced him to one month in prison and a 10,000 baht fine, with a one-year suspended sentence.
