Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives CS Hon Peter Munya, has opened an induction program for the newly elected Board of Directors of the KTDA Holdings Ltd at Hilton Hotel, Nairobi.

In his address, CS Munya noted that KTDA was created to serve tea farmers, by providing management services to the tea factory companies and marketing their tea in the local and international markets, an agenda that changed afew years back to benefit afew individuals.

He asked the new board to recognize that they are taking up responsibilities on the platform reform and transformation,  amidst high expectations from the shareholders and farmers, who for a long time have suffered in the hands of poor leadership.

“It is expected that your election to office should mark a paradigm shift for a transparent,  accountable and effective leadership”, said CS Munya.

He pledged government’s aid in facilitating policy support and marketing strategy through the Tea Board of Kenya.
