Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has stated that there are no issues with the People’s Party following his decision to bring MP Tae to the stage during a visit to a temple in Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, to monitor the flood situation. Anutin described the move as merely a gimmick.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin, who also leads the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the controversy that arose after summoning Thawiwong Tothaviwong, or MP Tae, from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya to the stage. This incident led to dissatisfaction within the party. Anutin expressed his aversion to the term “drama,” explaining that he selected MP Thawiwong in his role as Prime Minister to ensure he was informed of every detail. He even complimented MP Tae, suggesting that a little stage gimmick was necessary.
When questioned about his ability to discuss matters with the People’s Party, Anutin affirmed that he could engage in discussions on all topics. Regarding whether Mr. Natthaphong Ruangpanyawut, a party-list MP and leader of the People’s Party, had a similarly strong reaction, Anutin stated that he perceived no problem, emphasizing that it was a matter of fieldwork and that work remained the focus.
