Anutin Emphasizes Pride in Being an MP Amidst Government Coalition Exclusion

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, expressed that he is not concerned about missing the coalition government party dinner this evening as he now stands in opposition. He remarked that his role as a Member of Parliament (MP) is what fills him with pride, regardless of whether former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra exerts influence within the coalition.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed the absence of the Bhumjaithai Party from the coalition government dinner, marking a significant shift as this is the first time the party did not participate. He stated that the party’s absence is a non-issue, emphasizing that the party’s current position as an opposition entity removes any reason for nervousness. Anutin highlighted that if the party were still part of the government, their absence would indeed be a cause for concern.

When questioned about Thaksin’s presence at the dinner and his potential influence, Anutin dismissed such concerns, suggesting that efforts should instead focus on supporting the Bhumjaithai Party’s endeavors in the Sisaket election. He reiterated his commitment to the party’s success in this electoral contest.

Anutin further articulated his adaptation to the opposition role, underscoring that his primary source of pride lies in serving as an MP. He noted that his dedication to this position has always been paramount, and if given a choice, he would prioritize his duties as an MP above all else.
