Anutin Expresses Enthusiasm Over Sisaket By-Election Results

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has expressed his excitement about the outcomes of the Sisaket by-election. In his role as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, Anutin shared his unique approach to monitoring the election results, stating that he would wake up to a monk and later visit a restaurant to learn about the results.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed the by-election results, highlighting that the Bhumjaithai Party operates not with a traditional war room but with what he describes as a “love room.” Despite his interest in the election outcomes, Anutin mentioned he would not be traveling to Sisaket Province, as he has engagements with ministers to discuss the preparation of a policy statement.

When questioned about the by-election results, Anutin expressed his surprise, saying, “It’s a bit of a shock. I’m waking up to the monks.” He further added a lighter note by revealing his plans to cheer on the election results at a “Larb restaurant,” indicating a casual approach to the political event.
