Democrat Party Appoints Leaders to Scrutinize Anutin’s Government Policies

Bangkok: The Democrat Party has strategically appointed four experienced leaders to spearhead the debate on government policy, which will be directed by Anutin and led by prominent figures Chuan Leekpai and Jurin Laksanawisit.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pramuan Pongthawaradej, who serves as the acting party leader and chairman of the Democrat Party, made this announcement following a meeting with the party’s MPs on September 28, 2025. During the meeting, the party allocated one hour for the key debaters to present their arguments regarding the government’s policy statement scheduled for September 29-30.

The selected main debaters include Mr. Chuan Leekpai, Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit, Mr. Chaichana Dechadecho, and Mr. Pitakdet Dechadecho. Mr. Pramuan emphasized that the inclusion of former party leaders and seasoned MPs illustrates the Democrat Party’s preparedness to conduct a thorough examination and provide constructive recommendations on the newly proposed policies of Mr. Anutin’s government. He expressed confidence that the party’s debates would serve the public interest effectively.
