Bangkok: Prime Minister-elect Anutin Charnvirakul has made a clear declaration that during his tenure, there will be no instances of “big bosses” collecting money or retroactive billing practices. Anutin emphasized the importance of government land remaining under government ownership, particularly highlighting the issues surrounding Khao Kradong and the Senate coup. He insisted that all actions must be carried out legally and transparently.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed remarks made by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Bhumtham Wechayachai, who speculated that the Khao Kradong issue would be resolved permanently if Anutin were elected. Anutin assured that state properties will remain with the state, urging adherence to legal processes without embellishment or coercion, as seen in previous administrations.
Anutin further clarified his stance on the Khao Kradong land revocation, stating that all actions were compliant with the law. He warned against excessive discourse, which
he believes could lead to unnecessary conflict. Emphasizing legal enforcement, Anutin promised to monitor the situation closely to ensure public trust and accountability, asserting that any slanderous actions for personal gain would not be tolerated.
He also addressed concerns about collaboration with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), responsible for overseeing the Khao Kradong and Senate coup cases. Anutin expressed his determination to ensure that the DSI operates transparently and is not manipulated by political forces to oppress citizens.
Anutin stressed the need for a fair justice system, advocating for equal treatment under the law. He highlighted the misuse of state power for personal agendas, calling for an end to such practices. Anutin’s vision includes implementing a “Justice for All” system, ensuring that no individual is above the law, and reaffirming that changes are necessary for true reform.
