Ubon Ratchathani: Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, recently traveled to Ubon Ratchathani Province via helicopter to evaluate the situation at the Thai-Cambodian border. His visit aimed to encourage frontline soldiers and uplift the morale of rear-line officers stationed in the area.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and the Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration. Their first stop was at the Border Area Development Center in Ban Thung Somdet, Tambon Dom Pradit, Amphoe Nam Yuen. There, they delivered supplies to frontline soldiers, Village Defense Volunteers, Volunteer Defense Corps, and other administrative agencies operating in the region. The delegation continued to the Ban Paet Um School bunker and the Wat Ban Kho bunker, where they extended moral support to local residents.
The purpose of this visit was to assess current conditions ahead of a scheduled meeting on June 11 in Ubon Ratchathani Province. This meeting will include governors from the seven border provinces: Trat, Chanthaburi, Sa Kaeo, Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Surin, and Buriram. The objective is to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding the local population and providing support to military operations.
