Bangkok: The Administrative Court’s Judicial Committee has resolved to approve “Chamnong Thawornwisit” as the new Secretary-General of the Administrative Court.
According to Thai News Agency, the Administrative Court Office revealed that Mr. Prawat Tansuwannon, the current Secretary-General, has reached the retirement age of 60 and will conclude his service on October 1, 2024. Consequently, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court has been tasked with selecting a successor. In the 329-112024 meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the Administrative Court Judicial Committee approved the appointment of Mr. Chamnong Thawornwisit, who currently serves as the Deputy Secretary-General, as the new Secretary-General. This decision was made under the authority of Section 78 of the Administrative Court Establishment Act and Administrative Court Procedures B.E. 2542 and its amendments.
The Administrative Court will now proceed by sending a letter to the Prime Minister to seek royal approval for Mr. Thaworn
wisit’s appointment.
