BAAC Boosts Suwit Farm’s Organic Duck Egg Distribution in Ubon Ratchathani

Ubon ratchathani: BAAC is helping to elevate Suwit Farm, a model organic duck farm, by distributing high-quality fresh duck eggs to markets in Ubon Ratchathani and surrounding provinces.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, Manager of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), visited Suwit Farm located in Ban Daeng Subdistrict, Trakan Phuet Phon District. The farm is renowned for its complete farm management system, which encompasses duck raising, egg collection, and egg quality sorting. The farm’s production of fresh duck eggs is distributed to markets within Ubon Ratchathani Province and nearby regions. Additionally, Suwit Farm utilizes processed duck manure as organic fertilizer to cultivate crops for animal feed, thereby reducing operational costs and fostering a sustainable resource circulation system within the farm.

The BAAC manager provided operational advice to Suwit Farm, aligning with the Essence of Agriculture approach to enhance production potential and add value to products. Suwit Farm is being developed into a learning resource for small farmers in the region. BAAC supports the farm with investment loans and promotes it as a leading community-level farmer. This initiative aims to transfer knowledge on commercial duck farming, farm management, and integrated marketing to farmers within the network. The strategy aligns with BAAC’s mission to improve farmers’ quality of life and develop the grassroots economy sustainably.
