Ban Nong Chan Witnesses Community Support for Soldiers Amid Security Enhancements

Ban nong chan: Ban Nong Chan in Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, is bustling with activity as locals gather to cheer on soldiers stationed at the border. The community has come together to provide sustenance and support, transforming the area into a vibrant hub of activity.

According to Thai News Agency, the main road of Ban Nong Chan is filled with a variety of local foods and delicacies, as villagers and nearby residents contribute supplies to support the soldiers’ mission. Among the offerings are large pan-fried chicken, vegetables, fruits, and unique Chanthaburi delicacies, including noodles, sticky rice with coconut milk, and a renowned durian variety. Mr. Lek from Khao Khitchakut, Chanthaburi Province, brought these treats, expressing his desire for soldiers to enjoy the flavors of Chanthaburi.

Local and international vendors have also joined the effort, providing snacks, drinks, bottled water, and essentials, creating a lively atmosphere. Despite the presence of military and police forces to ensure order, the event is marked by the kindness and smiles of the locals.

Kan Jom Phalang has played a significant role by donating security equipment to enhance border safety. His visit to Ban Nong Chan included the delivery of CCTV cameras and bunkers, which are intended to improve the monitoring and safety of both officials and villagers. Kan Jom Phalang assured that the bunker construction would be completed within two days, gaining the appreciation of the locals who showed their support by waving Thai flags and capturing the moment with photos.

In addition to these developments, Mr. Rangsiman Rome, a member of the House Committee, visited Ban Nong Chan to address security concerns. He explored issues related to border security, illegal immigration, border trade, and land disputes affecting over 170 households. Mr. Rome, guided by Colonel Chainarong Kasi, Commander of the Aranyaprathet Task Force, examined the area and discussed potential solutions. He announced plans to propose the procurement of “anti-drones” to the central government, aiming to detect and intercept potential threats to the border region.
