Bangkok: Bangkok, together with royal volunteers, prepared the route for moving the royal urn of Her Majesty the Queen Mother to the Grand Palace. Mr. Thanit Tanbuaklee, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, led Bangkok Metropolitan Administration officials and personnel in a royal volunteer activity, preparing and cleaning the route from Phlapphla Maha Jessadabodin Plaza to the Bangkok City Pillar Shrine in Phra Nakhon District. This route will be the path for the royal funeral procession of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, from Chulalongkorn Hospital to the Grand Palace. This will ensure a dignified and smooth procession of the royal remains.
According to Thai News Agency, the Metropolitan Police Bureau has announced the route of the royal funeral procession for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother from Chulalongkorn Hospital to the Grand Palace tomorrow at 4:00 PM. The route is approximately 10 kilometers and will proceed as follows:
The procession will exit Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society, and turn left onto Henri Dunant Road. It will then turn right onto Rama IV Road, heading towards Samyan Intersection. Upon reaching Samyan Intersection, the procession will turn right onto Phaya Thai Road. At Phaya Thai intersection, it will turn left onto Sri Ayutthaya Road, traveling through the area of the 2nd Cavalry Division, King’s Guard (901 Land), and Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram Ratchaworawihan. Finally, the procession will turn left onto Ratchadamnoen Road, heading towards the Grand Palace.
