Bhumjaithai Party to Investigate Minister’s Alleged Casino Involvement

Bangkok: The Bhumjaithai Party has officially accepted a complaint from former Special Branch police officer Santhana Prayoonrat, who has alleged that a minister was involved in a casino situated on the Thai-Cambodian border. Supachai Jaisamut, who is the chairman of the Bhumjaithai Party’s legal team, has acknowledged receiving the evidence submitted by Santhana.

According to Thai News Agency, Supachai has not yet discussed the matter with Anutin Charnvirakul, the party leader and Prime Minister. However, he indicated that an investigation would likely be conducted. Supachai expressed confidence that the issue will not pose a problem since the cabinet list, which includes the implicated ministers, has already received royal approval. He anticipates that Anutin will soon initiate a fact-finding mission to address the allegations.
