Bhumtham Confident as Supreme Court Prepares to Rule on 14th Floor Case

Bangkok: “Bhumtham” insists the government and Pheu Thai Party are not disheartened after the Supreme Court is set to rule on the 14th floor case, and asks whether “Thaksin” will be present to hear the case himself. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, acting prime minister and a Pheu Thai Party leader, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, addressed the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions’ decision on September 9, 2025, regarding whether the hearing of the verdict in the case against former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital, will affect the morale of the Pheu Thai Party and the government. He stated, “No, it will be in accordance with the judicial process.” He reaffirmed his respect for the judicial process and stated that he still doesn’t know the outcome. Therefore, we must consider whether damage will be a detriment and whether we will win. This is not helpful, as our current focus is on the violent clashes along the border.

According to Thai News Agency, when asked if Thaksin would be in the country and present to hear the court’s verdict, Mr. Phumtham said to ask Thaksin.
