A mutual fund and Government Securities (SBN) investment application Bibit has invited people to build their investment portfolio for saving funds, pension funds, children’s education funds, or others, in welcoming 2023.
“In welcoming 2023, Bibit invites people to build their investment portfolio, be it for savings funds, pension funds, children’s education funds, emergency funds, to buy a dream house, go to the Holy Land (Tanah Suci), or for any other financial purposes. As it is just a matter of days before we start the new year, in particular, the investment application invites people to strengthen their will to make 2023 a glorious year,” PR & Corporate Communication Lead Bibit William noted in a statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Through various educational and literacy efforts, the investment application always stressed that consistency in investing is key for the public and users.
It is not about how much you can save, but how disciplined you are is what determines the success. The proverb “many a little makes a mickle,” or sedikit-sedikit lama-lama menjadi bukit, is true, William stated.
In 2022, at least 90,596 successful investment portfolios were recorded at Bibit, including 1,997 couples that got married with the money that they invested at Bibit, 1,907 people that bought their dream home, and 2,255 investors that made their dream vacation come true.
William said that despite 2022 being quite challenging for some, people can realize their financial goals by investing in the right way in the right investment products in a platform that is legally licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
For first-time investors, who are yet to get familiar with the capital market, William said that his company offers a safe, easy, and seamless mutual fund investment. Mutual fund investment management is conducted by investment managers selected on the basis of their professionalism and positive track record. Meanwhile, profits from investing in mutual funds are non-taxable.
Furthermore, mutual fund investments can be made directly on the application, as it only takes a few minutes to open an account, and the process is 100-percent online, he explained.
“Apart from these benefits, buying or selling mutual funds at Bibit is not subject to commission fees. If a user wishes to withdraw his or her investment, the process is fast and free of charge. For first-time investors, who do not fully understand about mutual funds, Bibit provides the Robo Advisor feature that can help them choose mutual funds, whether it is money market, fixed-income, or equity mutual funds that suit their risk profiles,” William stated.
His company can also facilitate people looking to invest in Government Securities (SBN) and contribute to the nation’s development, as it has been officially appointed by the Ministry of Finance Republic of Indonesia as the distribution partner to sell SBN in early 2022.
As a distribution partner of SBN, Bibit is proven to be a highly trusted partner by the public. In the issuance of SBN Syariah Series ST009 (offering period November 11-30, 2022), Retail State Bonds series ORI022 (September 26-October 20, 2022), and retail SBSN series SR017 (August 19-September 14, 2022), Bibit became a distribution partner in the Fintech category, with the highest sales.
Earlier, during the sale of the SBR011 Retail Savings Bond series from May 25 to June 16, 2022, Bibit was also a distribution partner in the Fintech category that recorded the largest number of investors.
“This being said, we invite everyone, whether you have or have not used the Bibit app, to invest in a safe and easy manner,” William remarked.
Regarding the number of investors, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani Indrawati stated that the number of Retail SBN investors had continued to increase significantly since Retail SBN was issued for the first time in 2006.
A total of 16,651 SBN investors were recorded in 2006, some 83,662 investors in 2016, and around 195,277 investors in 2018, and the figure almost touched 600 thousand investors in October 2021.
