Burmese Woman Gives Birth in Taxi Near Taksin Hospital, Both Safe.

Bangkok: A Myanmar woman gave birth in a taxi 500 meters before reaching Taksin Hospital. Mr. Chaipol, a rescue worker from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, reported receiving an alert over the radio about the birth occurring in a taxi near Wongwian Yai.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaipol promptly drove to the scene, locating a yellow taxi with the license plate number Thor Sor 4557 Bangkok, parked in front of a shopping mall on Lat Ya Road in the Wongwian Yai area. Upon arrival, he provided immediate assistance, wrapping the newborn in a cloth. Both the mother and baby girl were safe following the birth. Mr. Chaipol coordinated with Taksin Hospital to dispatch an ambulance to transport the mother and child to the hospital for further care.
