Phum makhuea: Major General Duang Somniang, commander of the 7th Division, was killed by artillery shells at Chong Ta Thao-Phum Makhuea during clashes over territory between Thai and Cambodian soldiers throughout the day.

According to Thai News Agency, the clash between Thai and Cambodian soldiers in the Phu Makhuea and Chong Ta Tao areas began early this morning. Thai soldiers managed to defend the Phu Makhuea area and successfully pressured Cambodian soldiers to retreat from the area.

As Cambodian soldiers attempted to regroup and launch an attack to reclaim Phumakhuea, several Cambodian soldiers, including Major General Duang Somniang, were killed by artillery fire at Chong Ta Thao-Phumakhuea.
