Bangkok: “Sgt. Bird” has highlighted Cambodia’s recent actions as a significant threat, citing their intention to mobilize “PHL-03 missiles,” which have a range of 130 kilometers. This move has prompted discussions regarding Thailand’s military response, with some officials considering the use of deep destruction as an appropriate countermeasure.
According to Thai News Agency, Maj. Gen. Wanchana Sawasdee, Director of the Office of Security Mission Coordination with the Internal Security Operations Command, Department of Military Strategy, has expressed concerns over the missile mobilization by Cambodia. He stated that such actions are perceived as a threat, justifying potential defensive measures by Thailand. Recent accusations from Cambodia claim that Thailand employed excessive air force; however, Thai officials assert that their force was proportionate in response to Cambodia’s aggressive maneuvers, which reportedly included attacks on Thai civilians and infrastructure.
News footage capturing the movement of these long-range weapons plays a central role in the threat perception, signaling a direct challenge to Thailand’s security. The Thai military has carried out air operations aimed at minimizing casualties and swiftly addressing the threat. Thai authorities emphasize that their air operations are targeted exclusively at military objectives, ensuring precision in their actions.
