According to Thai News Agency, Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai Province saw temperatures drop further this morning, with the summit reaching just 8 degrees Celsius, while the Kiew Mae Pan viewpoint saw temperatures reach 11 degrees Celsius. Tourists were experiencing the cold weather, waiting for the first rays of sunlight across the road. It’s believed that temperatures will drop further from now, and frost may soon be seen.
Several other areas are beginning to experience cooler weather. In Loei Province, this morning was cool with fog on mountaintops, with temperatures as low as 13-21 degrees Celsius. The temperature in the city dropped to 19.1 degrees Celsius. Phu Kradueng and Phu Ruea National Parks saw temperatures of 15 degrees Celsius, and Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary at 13 degrees Celsius. Tourists are flocking to reserve accommodations at natural attractions, experiencing the cool breeze and sea of mist, especially during the weekends. Visitors can enjoy the Phu Kho Noi viewpoint in Ban Bung, Na Haeo District, where they can watch the sea of mist flowing over the mountains and enjoy 180-degree views almost all day long.
