Bangkok: “Chulaphan” insists that the Prime Minister remained composed after a recent clash with the media, dismissing any claims of emotional outburst. Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, addressed the situation following criticism directed at the Prime Minister over his responses to questions concerning the Thai-Cambodian border issue.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan clarified that the incident, which occurred during a media interview, does not have any impact on the government. He emphasized that those who criticized the Prime Minister’s demeanor were not present during the exchange and lacked context about the situation. He urged people not to jump to conclusions based on incomplete information, reiterating that the Prime Minister was not emotional.
Mr. Chulaphan further explained that the Prime Minister was merely trying to convey his understanding of the issue without inciting conflict. He noted that the nature of interviews can sometimes lead to misunderstandings when responses are taken out of context. He expressed the hope that such situations would not lead to unnecessary conflict, emphasizing the importance of constructive communication.
