Chumphon: “Lukmee” has spearheaded a significant political shift as Chumphon MPs, the Chumphon Provincial Administrative Organization, and the Chumphon Power Team have joined the Bhumjaithai Party. Lukmee expressed confidence in the party’s ability to lead the nation forward without seeking personal gains. He emphasized that there is no conflict with the Palang Pracharath Party, clarifying that any issues are internal matters. Concurrently, “Pipat” is focused on increasing the party’s influence in the South and progressing with the land bridge project.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chumphon Chulasai led Mr. Wichai Sutsawat and Mr. Supol Chulasai, two Chumphon MPs from the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, in an official announcement of their intention to join the Bhumjaithai Party. Mr. Nopporn Usit, President of the Chumphon Provincial Administrative Organization, along with a 27-member Power Chumphon team, also applied for party membership. Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, a key leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, welcomed them warmly and presented them with the party’s distinctive shirt.
Mr. Supachai expressed his honor in welcoming the delegation from Chumphon Province, who pledged their support to Mr. Anutin. He assured that their collaborative efforts would focus on developing the southern region, enhancing its growth and prosperity under the leadership of Mr. Anutin and the Bhumjaithai Party. He conveyed gratitude for the opportunity to work with the people of Chumphon Province and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Bhumjaithai Party in the upcoming elections.
Mr. Chumphon emphasized his personal belief in the Bhumjaithai Party’s capacity to lead the nation toward stability and progress. He clarified that his involvement was not for personal benefit but to contribute to national development. The Chumphon MPs, though unable to attend, have extended their support, while the Provincial Administrative Organization president and nearly 50 members of the Chumphon Power Team were present.
Addressing internal matters within the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, Mr. Chumphon stated that he harbors no animosity and views it as an internal issue. Although he has been stripped of his political rights, he remains committed to supporting the Prime Minister and the Bhumjaithai Party in fostering national unity.
Mr. Pipat expressed appreciation for the collective efforts of Mr. Chumphon, the Provincial Administrative Organization, and the Chumphon Power Team in advancing national development. He addressed public concerns about the land bridge project’s feasibility, affirming that Mr. Anutin is committed to its progression. The project, initiated under Mr. Saksayam Chidchob, aims to connect the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, potentially creating jobs and boosting the economy in Ranong and Chumphon provinces.
Regarding future political alliances and goals in the South, Mr. Pipat stated his dedication to collaborating with leaders across 14 southern provinces to drive economic growth. He highlighted the past missed opportunities due to disunity and expressed confidence in further developing the South with like-minded individuals in provinces such as Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Songkhla.
Mr. Pipat remained non-committal about the prospect of securing 40 seats in the South, emphasizing that the decision rests with the electorate. He reiterated the Bhumjaithai Party’s commitment to fulfilling its promises and acknowledged the need for increased efforts to secure more seats.
Regarding opposition to the land bridge project, Mr. Pipat warned that further delays could result in lost opportunities. He assured that the project holds promising potential, requiring private sector investment and readiness to attract users to the ports on both coasts.
As for the project’s impact report, Mr. Pipat expressed optimism about its timely completion and emphasized the necessity of immediate action. He acknowledged the project’s substantial investment of no less than 1 trillion baht and the importance of gaining public trust for its successful implementation. The Bhumjaithai Party remains committed to advancing projects that benefit the Thai population and is prepared to entrust future governments with initiatives that improve national income.
