Bangkok: Counting down 50 days until the 33rd SEA Games, the Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand emphasized that the inclusion of 50 sports is all international. The competition venues in all three main cities are almost 100% ready and can host the competition with elegance. He invites Thai people to join in being good hosts, welcoming all 10 ASEAN countries, so that the 33rd SEA Games is a grand and impressive competition.
According to Thai News Agency, there are only 50 days left until the 33rd SEA Games, which Thailand will host from December 9-20, 2025, using three main cities: Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla. Recently, Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), along with Mr. Chaiyaphak Siriwat, CEO of the SEA Games Federation, and Mr. Chucheep Thammapetch, Deputy Governor of Songkhla Province, jointly chaired a meeting to follow up on the progress of the organization of the 33rd SEA Games in Songkhla Province. This was the third follow-up meeting, attended by Dato’ Low Peng Chu, SEA Games legal advisor; Chris Chan Seng Heng, SEA Games technical advisor; Admiral Athinath Pajayakrit, Director of the Southeast Asian Sports Federation; Ms. Somjorn Mingkhamlert, Director of the Office of the Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand; and Mr. Yuthaya Jeenheet, Director of the Sports Excellence Development Department of the Sports Authority of Thailand. Hotel and Spa in Songkhla Province.
Dr. Kongsak stated that Songkhla Province will co-host the SEA Games, featuring 10 sports: chess, kabaddi, football, judo, karate, wrestling, pencak silat, wushu, boxing, and petanque. With only 50 days remaining, everything is proceeding according to plan. Both the preparation of the Thai national team and the competition venues in all three provinces are considered nearly 100 percent ready, making them a dignified host. He urged Thais nationwide to support Thai athletes and follow news and information about the various competitions, so they can attend and cheer on the SEA Games at the actual venues or watch the live broadcast from home. He also urged Thailand to be a good host country, welcoming the 10 ASEAN countries that will be competing in Thailand, ensuring the 33rd SEA Games is the grandest and most impressive.
The Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) mentioned the 33rd SEA Games, which will feature 50 sports, saying that all are international sports. Twenty-seven are included in the Olympic Games and nine are included in the Asian Games. Other sports have all previously competed in international competitions. This SEA Games will therefore elevate the sport to a truly international sports event.

Tennis, 22. Triathlon, 23. Volleyball, 24. Wrestling, 25. Ice Skating, 26. Ice Hockey, 27. Pentathlon, 28. Weightlifting, 29. Baseball and Softball, 30. Billiards-Snooker, 31. Boxing, 32. Floorball, 33. E-Sports, 34. Boxing, 35. Netball, 36. Pencak Silat, 37. Petanque, 38. Sepak Takraw, 39. Squash, 40. Bowling, 41. Extreme, 42. Karate, 43. Jujitsu, 44. Cricket, 45. Wushu, 46. Kabaddi, 47. Tekkaball, 48. Kickboxing, 49. Woodball, 50. International Chess.
There will also be three demonstration sports: air sports, tug of war, and frisbee, and one promotional sport, MMA (mixed martial arts), with a total of 574 gold medals up for grabs.
