COVID-19: 632 migrant workers quarantining in Batam

Right now, 234 Indonesian migrant workers are being treated at RSKI on Galang Island.

Batam, Riau Islands As many as 632 Indonesian migrant workers are undergoing COVID-19 quarantine in Batam city, Riau Islands province, in accordance with the health protocols, after arriving from Malaysia, an official said.

Chief of the Batam City Health Office Didi Kusmarjadi said on Saturday that 157 of the 632 migrant workers are quarantining at BP Batam flats, 244 at Batam City Administration’s flats, 97 at Putra Jaya flats, and 134 are conducting self-quarantine.

“The self-quarantine is at a hotel designated by the military,” he informed.
