Death toll in Myanmar airstrike rises to 171

Myanmar, April 15 – The death toll from air strikes on villages in Myanmar’s Sagaing region. last Tuesday increased to 171 people

So far there are no official death toll figures. The Myanmar army has admitted that there was an air strike on the village. But it’s a limited operation. It also blamed some of the deaths on landmines secretly planted by anti-government militants.

The attack on the village occurred around 8:00 a.m. on the morning of April 11. As large numbers gathered to celebrate the opening of the National Unity Government. which is a shadow government of the anti-military faction as well as being the headquarters of the People’s Defense Forces which the Myanmar Army identifies as terrorists Since the coup in February 2021, at least 3,200 Myanmar people have been killed by the military crackdown.-Thai News Agency
