Dech Issara to Join Interior Ministry, Confident in Government Stability

Bangkok: “Dech Issara” is set to enter the Interior Ministry tomorrow, expressing confidence in the government’s stability. Mr. Decha Isara Khaothong, Deputy Minister of Interior, shared his insights following a royal address received during the oath of office ceremony. His Majesty the King provided guidance and encouragement to the new ministers, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling their duties with determination.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Decha Isara will commence his responsibilities at the Ministry of Interior alongside the Minister of Interior. While his specific duties are yet to be assigned, he has pledged to take on all responsibilities and oversee every department. His primary focus is on alleviating public suffering and promoting citizen happiness.

When questioned about the political climate and government stability, Mr. Decha-Isara expressed confidence in its current stability. He highlighted the strong understanding between the military and the government, countering criticisms from certain groups. He believes this unity will foster broader public comprehension.

Regarding concerns about the prime minister’s case before the Constitutional Court, Mr. Decha-Isara acknowledged some apprehension, noting potential impacts on public credibility. However, he remains optimistic about the government’s ongoing progress and has not yet engaged coalition partners in discussions about the court’s considerations.

Addressing the potential for nationwide protests in August, Mr. Decha-Isara stated he is not overly concerned, citing a growing public understanding of the need for national unity, especially given external challenges. He stressed the importance of organizing the internal system swiftly for greater cohesion.

In today’s special cabinet meeting, discussions are anticipated to focus on budget allocations for economic stimulus projects. Certain ministries have yet to distribute funds to the public, prompting a review of these areas.
