Democrat Party to Convene Executive Meeting on Coalition Government Direction

Bangkok: The Democrat Party is preparing to meet with the executive committee to discuss the direction of the coalition government. Chalermchai, who joined the party, said he did not know whether Decha Isara would join the discussions with Pheu Thai and the people, stating that it was not his responsibility.

According to Thai News Agency, at 12:10 PM, Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and leader of the Democrat Party, arrived at the Democrat Party headquarters ahead of the party's executive committee meeting at 3:00 PM. Mr. Chalermchai denied reports that Mr. Decha Isara Khaothong, Deputy Minister of the Interior and Party Secretary-General, will be participating in negotiations between the Pheu Thai Party and the Prachachon Party this afternoon. He stated that he was unaware of the situation, as he had not yet met them. He concluded by saying, "We haven't discussed it, because it's not our job."

Then, Mr. Naris Khamnuarak, Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party, traveled to the party office.
