According to Thai News Agency, the Director-General of the Department of Airports, Mr. Danai Ruangson, announced the readiness of the airports to handle increased passenger traffic during the holidays on 10 July 2025 and 11 July 2025. The initiative, guided by Mrs. Manoporn Charoensri, Deputy Minister of Transport, aims to make airports vibrant gateways that reflect the unique identities of their respective provinces and offer a memorable first impression to visitors.

At Khon Kaen Airport, the cultural essence is highlighted with the sound of the Khaen Dok Khun, making it a welcoming hub for tourists. Nan Nakhon Airport embraces its heritage with the ‘Ruea Chao Mae Khuang Fa’ check-in point, adorned with Nan lantern arches, promoting the city’s cultural significance as part

Phitsanulok Airport has introduced giant lotus flower patterns to enhance its charm and provide attractive photo opportunities for travelers. The airport is also planning to increase its green spaces and utilize natural sound effects to foster a more environmentally friendly ambiance. Meanwhile, Nakhon Phanom Airport celebrates the spiritual and natural beauty of its region, featuring attractions like Phra That Phanom and the Mekong River view, aimed at boosting tourism.

In addition to promoting cultural identity, the Department of Airports has collaborated with local agencies to support community businesses and activities, ensuring a sustainable economic impact. The focus remains on creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for all visitors.

To manage the expected influx of passengers, the Department has established joint command centers at each airport to coordinate with relevant agencies, including police, military, and emergency services. This includes deploying suf
ficient staff during peak hours, maintaining the security and functionality of equipment, and ensuring smooth traffic flow.

Travelers are advised to arrive at least 2-3 hours before their flights and check flight information in advance. Enhanced public transportation options are being arranged to facilitate convenient transfers between airports and local destinations, ensuring a seamless travel experience during the holiday season.
