Deputy Minister Orders Round-the-Clock Security at Thai-Cambodian Border

Ubon ratchathani: Deputy Minister of Interior 2 visited the Thai-Cambodian border evacuation center in Ubon Ratchathani Province and ordered the village security team to maintain peace and order 24 hours a day.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Thirat Rattanawanich, Deputy Minister of Interior (MoI 2), visited the area to monitor the situation and provide assistance to people at the Thai-Cambodian border evacuation center in Ubon Ratchathani Province. Ms. Thirat said that she traveled to the area to meet and encourage the people and was informed that most of the people were worried about their household items. She has now ordered the mobilization of local forces, including community leaders, village headmen, sub-district headmen, as well as village security guards (VDP) and volunteers (VDP) to maintain peace and order 24 hours a day.

Ms. Thirat added that the government has approved a budget to provide assistance to those affected by the situation on the Thai-Cambodian border. In the case of death, each person will receive 1,000,000 baht, in the case of disability, 700,000 baht, and in the case of serious injury, 200,000 baht.
