Bangkok: Director of the Office of Buddhism admits that there are real problems in the work, insists that there are no hidden details.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Inthaporn Chan-aim, Director of the National Office of Buddhism, addressed concerns following a meeting with the Center for the Preservation of Buddhism and Promotion of Dharma and Vinaya. The meeting, which lasted over two hours, aimed to establish strategies for preventing and addressing misconduct impacting Buddhism.
As Mr. Inthaporn was preparing to leave the Pitak Santi building of the Central Investigation Bureau, he confirmed to the media that the day’s discussions with various agencies had proceeded smoothly. He acknowledged past challenges within the Office of Buddhism and highlighted the need for collaboration among multiple organizations to address these issues.
Mr. Inthaporn confirmed reaching agreements with several agencies during the meeting, emphasizing that there were no current conflicts. When questioned about allegations of secrecy and complaints being frequently directed at the Office, Mr. Inthaporn firmly denied any such practices before departing the premises.
