Bangkok: Dr. Taweesilp has publicly announced that he will attend the upcoming Medical Council meeting on June 12, where discussions will be held regarding the disciplinary actions against three doctors involved in the treatment of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra at the Police General Hospital.
According to Thai News Agency, the Medical Council meeting will focus on a resolution concerning the punishment of three doctors for their handling of Thaksin’s treatment. Public attention is sharply focused on Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, and Dr. Amporn Benjapolpitak, all of whom serve on the Medical Council and hold significant positions within the Ministry of Public Health. Questions have been raised about the potential attendance of these individuals at the meeting, given their roles as civil servants under the oversight of Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health.
