Egyptian Red Crescent to Distribute Indonesian Aid in Gaza

Jakarta, Indonesia – The first batch of Indonesian humanitarian aid destined for Palestine is set to be distributed in the Gaza Strip by the Egyptian Red Crescent.

According to Antara News Agency, Head of the National Police’s International Relations Division, the Egyptian Red Crescent will take charge of the aid upon its arrival in Egypt. Murti disclosed this information while speaking to journalists at Soekarno Hatta International Airport on Sunday evening, during the dispatch of the aid.

The shipment, weighing 26.5 tons, includes 100 tents capable of housing five thousand people, one thousand winter blankets, food supplies, medicines, sanitation kits, water distillers, and minor surgery sets. This considerable effort is a testament to the robust coordination between the Indonesian National Police and the Health Ministry, which enabled the assembly and dispatch of these vital resources.

The delivery of these aid packages by Indonesia marks a significant contribution to the ongoing humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip, addressing both the immediate and longer-term needs of the Palestinian people affected by the crisis in the region.
