Kanchanaburi: The Election Commission has dispatched a mobile unit to prevent and investigate violations of election laws in Constituency 4, Kanchanaburi Province, where the election will be held on October 19.
According to Thai News Agency, the Election Commission has appointed two mobile units to operate from October 10-19, 2025, for a total of 10 days, to support the election of the MP for Constituency 4 in Kanchanaburi Province, which will be held on Sunday, October 19. This will ensure that the election in Constituency 4, which includes Lao Khwan District, Huai Krachao District, Bo Phloi District (excluding Nong Kum Subdistrict), and Nong Prue District, is conducted with honesty, fairness, and lawfulness.
The mobile unit’s duty is to prevent and gather information about violations of the election and political party laws, confront or suppress incidents, and violations of the election and political party laws. This includes searching, arresting, and detaining offenders and sending them to investigators or court, as appropriate, upon notification from the Election Commission, the Election Commission member, the Election Commission Secretary-General, or a designated person, the provincial Election Commission Director, or a designated person, the Election Commissioner for a constituency, or the Election Commissioner for a constituency.
The unit also has a duty to report the results of the performance of duties to the Election Commission, the Election Commission Secretary or the assigned person, or the Provincial Election Director or the assigned person.
If the public witnesses any violations of the Election and Political Party Act, they may report any information or clues to the Election Coordination and Inquiry Center for the Kanchanaburi Provincial MP Election, Constituency 4, to fill the vacant position.
