End of the 33-Year Era for Thailand’s ‘Patitham Dubbing Team’.

Bangkok: Toh’ Pariphan Wacharanon, the founder of Thailand’s renowned voiceover team ‘Patim’, has announced his retirement, marking the end of a 33-year era. Paripan Wacharanon, known for dubbing iconic actors such as Jackie Chan, Stephen Chow, and Andy Lau, shared his journey during an interview on the YouTube channel Songtopia’s History program. His career in dubbing started 32 years ago with the drama Sai Mai Lap Kang Kang Po, featuring Stephen Chow.

According to Thai News Agency, Wacharanon revealed that the upcoming Songkran festival will mark the 33rd anniversary of his first dubbing project, “Sai Mai Lab Kang Kang Poey.” He plans to conclude his illustrious career either by or before Songkran. Wacharanon cited his extensive experience of dubbing over 3,000 films across every genre as a contributing factor for his decision to retire. Having surpassed the age of 60, he expressed a desire to travel and enjoy life without the responsibilities of overseeing a dubbing team. Although he remains open to takin
g on fun dubbing projects, he confirmed that his involvement with the Patim team has come to an end.
