Ex-Son-in-Law Arrested for Stabbing Father-in-Law to Death in Chonburi

Chonburi: A former son-in-law, identified as Mr. Phanupong, was arrested by Chonburi police after he stabbed his father-in-law to death in his home. The incident occurred in a single-story townhouse where the victim, Mr. Siwaphong, 54, was found dead.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured Mr. Phanupong arriving at the scene on a motorcycle and parking near an electric pole. He then entered the house, where the attack took place. The footage records a scream, followed by Mr. Phanupong exiting the house and fleeing the scene on his motorcycle. The entire incident lasted less than 20 seconds.

Inside the house, authorities found Mr. Siwaphong lying on his bed, fatally stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife. The distressing scene was witnessed by his wife, daughter, and grandson, who were present and overcome with grief. The quick apprehension of Mr. Phanupong was facilitated by the clear evidence provided by the CCTV footage.
