Ubon ratchathani: Sapphasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province has addressed concerns regarding the treatment of Cambodian patients following the circulation of an internal document that received attention on social media.
According to Thai News Agency, the hospital emphasized its commitment to providing humanitarian care to Cambodian patients, maintaining regular services while adapting to current circumstances. The hospital clarified that it continues to prioritize humane treatment, especially in emergency situations, despite the absence of substitute medication due to limitations on cross-border drug shipments.
The hospital also noted adjustments in its operations owing to ongoing disturbances in border regions. These measures include postponing non-urgent surgeries, halting after-hours specialty clinics, and temporarily ceasing the employment of Cambodian-speaking assistants due to a reduced number of Cambodian patients. These steps aim to ensure patient and staff safety amidst the current challenges.
