Facilitating Journalists, Kominfo Provide Media Center MotoGP Mandalika 2022

Mataram, Kominfo  – The world championship motorcycle racing Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia or MotoGP Mandalika 2022 is a momentum for Indonesia’s economic revival. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has prepared the Indonesian Media Center (MCI) to assist journalists in disseminating information about  the  MotoGP Mandalika 2022 series of events .

“MCI is an effort for Kominfo to support the implementation of MotoGP in NTB, so that it is carried out properly. This facility is specifically dedicated to fellow Indonesian journalists who are not accommodated for accreditation by Dorna Sports as the promoter of MotoGP,” explained the Director of Information, Economic and Maritime Communication (IKPM) of the Directorate General of Information and Public Communication (IKP) of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Septriana. Tangkary, at the Media Briefing Media Center Indonesia (MCI) at the Astoria Hotel, Mataram City, NTB, Wednesday (16/03/2022)

MCI is the result of collaboration with the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), as the manager of the Mandalika Circuit. The MCI location is in the main parking lot adjacent to  the  Mandalika Circuit paddock . Standing on an area of ​​200 square meters, MCI will be a supporting facility for journalists covering the 2022 MotoGP.

“Journalists who will cover MCI are required to register with the Kominfo, the NTB Police Public Relations Sub-Division and the NTB Provincial Statistics and Communications Service. We will prepare a special coverage card for MCI’s needs,” said Director Septriana.

Director of IKPMK Ditjen IKP Septriana stated, to support the journalistic work of the coverage of the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP, MCI is equipped with a high-speed internet network of 100 Mbps.

“There are also eating and drinking facilities, 20 laptops, printers, televisions, and reflection chairs. The MCI room is also equipped with six air-conditioning machines,” he said.

MCI will operate from 08.00-17.00 WITA, every day during the  event  . “While we were at MCI, we implemented strict health protocols, wore masks, washed our hands, and did not gather in large numbers. We also oblige our fellow journalists to take the antigen test that we provide at the MCI entrance,” said Director Septriana.

Boost the Economy

The international racing event which will take place in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) from March 18 to 20, 2022, is also believed to bring Indonesia’s name to the international level.

“The Mandalika MotoGP is a source of pride for all Indonesian people. 400 million people around the world will watch MotoGP at Mandalika, how can they not be proud,” said Director Septriana.

Therefore, the Director of IKPMK Ditjen IKP encourages people in NTB to spread hospitality to guests who watch MotoGP.

“MotoGP is also a momentum for economic revival. The micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, said Septriana, will be recognized by the international community. Not only MSMEs, but hotel businesses also benefit from MotoGP. Indonesian hospitality needs to be shown to the world,” he said. .
