Pattaya: A fire broke out in a luxury condominium in the middle of Pattaya, Chonburi Province. Officials mobilized water trucks to control the fire in time, preventing it from spreading to neighboring rooms.
According to Thai News Agency, a fire broke out in a room on the 6th floor of a 15-storey condominium, but fortunately the fire did not spread to neighboring rooms. The incident occurred yesterday morning at a condo in Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province, near Jomtien Beach.
Pattaya City Police, Dong Tan Sub-branch, along with firefighters rushed to provide assistance and notified residents of the building to come down to safety below. Firefighters then went straight to the room where the incident occurred. When they entered, they did not find any residents. They found fire on the sleeping area, but the condo’s fire extinguishing system was not working, so they had to use tap water from the relief room and then use water from a fire truck to spray from outside until the fire
was extinguished.
The initial cause of the fire is still unknown, but it is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Police have recorded images and collected information as evidence and have coordinated with relevant agencies to thoroughly inspect the fire extinguishing system and safety of the building. As for the residents of the room where the incident occurred, the building caretaker said that they went outside.
