Kuala lumpur: Foreign Ministers attended the ASEAN Plus Three Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, emphasizing the drive for multi-dimensional shared security. The meeting emphasized the use of cooperation and the promotion of specific mechanisms to address regional challenges.
According to Thai News Agency, on 10 July 2025, Mr. Marist Sengiampong, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the 26th ASEAN Plus Three Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (APT FMM) during the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings in Kuala Lumpur.
The meeting highlighted the important role of APTs and discussed ways to promote APTs as a concrete, sector-specific cooperation mechanism to address regional challenges.
While Thailand has highlighted key issues to drive cooperation under the APT, including the digital economy and digital transformation, financial security, and human security, with an emphasis on cooperation in public health, sustainable development, and food security, as well as emphasizing the need for cooperation in combating cybercrime and online fraud.
