Government Commends Educational Institutions for Supporting Families of Fallen Soldiers

Bangkok: The government has expressed its gratitude and praise for educational institutions that have taken the initiative to provide scholarships to the children of soldiers who died in the line of duty. Deputy Government Spokesperson Anukul Prueksanusak announced the government’s appreciation for these institutions, which have recognized the sacrifices made by soldiers and responded with generous scholarship offers.

According to Thai News Agency, a number of educational institutions have stepped forward to offer support. The Wongchawalitkul Group, which includes the Kiattikun Witthaya School, Nakhon Ratchasima Technical College of Commerce and Technology (K.P.N.), and Wongchawalitkul University, is providing full scholarships from primary school through to bachelor’s degrees, including vocational studies, to children of fallen soldiers.

Chulalongkorn University is offering scholarships to the children and spouses of soldiers, border patrol police, and civilians who died defending the Thai-Cambodian border. This initiative aims to honor their sacrifice and support the families of those who lost their lives in this conflict.

Ramathibodi Nursing School has extended a special offer to Miss Chuthamas Sijuijai, daughter of Sergeant Major Thirayut Sijuijai, providing her with a special quota to study without having to take an entrance exam. Additionally, the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) is offering free master’s degree scholarships in Public Administration and Law to the heirs and spouses of fallen soldiers and border patrol police.

Mahasarakham University has announced a policy to waive tuition fees for the entire course of study for the children and wives of deceased soldiers and the children of injured soldiers. Meanwhile, the Student Loan Fund (SLF) has issued a debt suspension for military personnel who died in clashes at the Thai-Cambodian border.

Boromarajonani College of Nursing has proposed a project to provide special educational privileges related to the Thai-Cambodian border situation, focusing on producing doctors and health innovation teams to improve primary health care across Thailand.

Mr. Anukul emphasized the government’s recognition of the bravery of all frontline soldiers and its commitment to supporting the families of those who have sacrificed their lives. He thanked the educational institutions for their role in promoting and encouraging the education of these families, highlighting the importance of this support for the nation’s future.
