Bangkok: The government is encouraging the public to report fake news, online threats, and drug-related information using the “Tang Rath” app as part of a broader initiative to tackle technology-related crimes.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Government Spokesperson Anukul Prueksanusak announced the initiative, emphasizing the government’s commitment to raising awareness about online fraud and the risks associated with fake news. The “Tang Rath” app is designed to provide a convenient and rapid platform for citizens to report fake news and online threats, enhancing the government’s efforts to mitigate the impact of such issues on the public.
The app offers several services, including digital knowledge information that citizens can integrate into their daily lives, factual information on fake news, and alerts on online scams. It supports relevant agencies by implementing the Cyber Community Thailand app data storage system, ensuring secure access and data linkage. The “Tang Rath” app is part of a nationwide initiative to promote digital literacy and offers over 179 government services, including various complaint reporting options.
Citizens are also encouraged to use the “Cyber Community Thailand” app to report news and protect themselves from online scams. Both apps are available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store, providing essential tools in the fight against technology crimes.
