Bangkok: ‘GSB’ creates tangible knowledge, distributing Braille comic books and laying a financial foundation for the visually impaired. Mr. Witai Rattanakorn, President of the Government Savings Bank (GSB), delivered 2,000 Braille copies of the ‘Kai Hua Roh’ comic book promoting savings to Mr. Anupon Sensan, President of the Educational Technology Center for the Blind. These books are set to be distributed to 16 schools for the blind and 651 organizations for the visually impaired across the nation.
According to Thai News Agency, the comic book ‘Kai Hua Roh’ is also available as animated cartoons with narration on the GSB Society YouTube channel. Released under the title ‘Savings Conquering Mission with Pangpond’, the series includes two episodes: Pangpond Lost Money and Pangpond’s New Sports Shoes. The stories, featuring Pangpond and his family, use an easy-to-understand, engaging format to teach financial literacy concepts like recording income and expenses, and saving before spending. This initiative aims to expand the worldviews and enhance the thinking potential of the visually impaired, emphasizing the importance of effective saving.
Present at the handover event held at the Government Savings Bank Head Office were Ms. Wachira Karnsuthi, Deputy President of the Government Savings Bank, and Ms. Jarupon Kamthonnapakun, Assistant Director of the Government Savings Bank.
