Hai Phong ready to host Southeast Asia rowing, canoeing championships


A press conference to announce preparations for the 2024 Southeast Asia Rowing and Canoeing, U19 and U23 Championships was held in the northern port city of Hai Phong on June 25. According to the Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports, the tournament is an opportunity for Hai Phong city to further improve the quality of organising large-scale competitions, improve facilities to meet international competition conditions, and serve as a premise for the plan to host international tournaments in Asia and the world in the future. The championships will attract more than 500 athletes as well as 103 officials and coaches from seven out of 11 Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and the host Vietnam.
