Hanoi Hosts Azerbaijan-Vietnam Meeting to Strengthen Ties

Hanoi, November 23 – Azerbaijan is prioritizing its relationship with Vietnam, viewing it as a key partner in the Asia-Pacific region, according to Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), Tahir Budagov. This statement came during a meeting in Hanoi on November 22 with Truong Thi Mai, a prominent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Budagov, also the head of YAP’s Central Office, was in Vietnam to sign a new cooperation agreement between YAP and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

According to Vietnam News Agency, Budagov expressed satisfaction with the new agreement, confirming Azerbaijan’s commitment to actively implement the pact. This action aims to strengthen the relationship between the two parties and the traditional friendship of their nations. Truong Thi Mai, a Politburo member and permanent member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat, acknowledged the significance of Budagov’s visit and the agreement as a milestone in the parties’ relationship. Mai also praised Azerbaijan’s recent achievements and expressed gratitude for the support provided to Vietnam. The officials agreed that this collaboration lays a foundation for thriving bilateral relations in various fields, benefitting future generations.
