Hanoi Hosts Inaugural Permanent Court of Arbitration Vietnam Conference

Hanoi – The first Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) Vietnam Conference was co-organized in Hanoi on November 15 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the PCA, and the Vietnam Association of International Law (VSIL).

According to Vietnam News Agency , The conference, marking the first anniversary of the PCA’s Hanoi office, focused on building trust among nations, current trends in international investment, and the future of international commercial arbitration in Vietnam. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu highlighted Vietnam’s support for the PCA and its commitment to peaceful dispute resolution. Marcin Czepelak, Secretary General of the PCA, thanked the Vietnamese government for its support and outlined the PCA’s achievements in Vietnam over the past year, including nearly 30 cases and training activities for Vietnamese legal professionals. The PCA aims to continue collaborating with Vietnamese agencies to align arbitration proceedings with international standards and establish Vietnam as a key arbitration venue. The PCA Vietnam Conference is expected to become an annual event, furthering Vietnam’s role in international arbitration.
