Hau Giang province planted a total of 73,800 hectares of summer-autumn rice crop in 2024, down 1,100 hectares compared to the same period last year. In June 2024, farmers in the Mekong Delta province harvested 1,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice crop, with an average yield of 6.15 tons of rice per hectare. The province targets to have a total output of 442,800 tons of rice for the 2024 summer-autumn crop, which can be reached after harvest is completed.
