Ho Chi Minh City and US Partners Enhance Smart Urban Development Cooperation

Ho Chi Minh City – A meeting to bolster cooperation in smart urban development was held between the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the US Consulate General on November 15.

According to Vietnam News Agency , Vice Chairman Vo Van Hoan of the municipal People’s Committee remarked on the strong development in Vietnam-US relations, especially since the upgrade to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Hoan expressed the city’s eagerness to enhance cooperation with US localities, focusing on digital transformation, smart urban development, and sustainable growth. He acknowledged the significant contributions of US technology enterprises in Vietnam and emphasized the need for increased collaboration to achieve the city’s smart urban development goals. US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Susan Burns, highlighted the commitment to expanding bilateral relations, particularly in economic development and innovation. City officials and US representatives discussed ongoing cooperation projects and future strategies for developing smart urban areas.
