The Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University (FKM Undip) together with the Undip Ranking Office have held the Ben Connect Talkshow: Consolidation of FKM Undip Alumni with the theme “Improving Alumni Branding and Employer Reputation Indicators” on Friday 19 August 2022 at 19.00 WIB online through the platform Zoom meetings.
The talkshow was attended by the Dean of the Undip FKM and his staff, the Director of the Academic Directorate of Student Affairs and Alumni, the Head of the Undip Rating Office, and the alumni of the Undip FKM. Also invited several speakers including the Head of the Provincial Health Office. In his opening speech, the Dean of FKM Undip, Dr. Budiyono, S.KM., M.Kes., revealed that the role of alumni is very strategic for improving reputation and networking. According to him, improving reputation and networking can be useful as a provider of job vacancy information and internship information for students. “I think the roles of alumni are very strategic for improving reputation and networking. So later we can explore it from the source.” he explained.
Dr. Budiyono hopes that the holding of this talk show can improve the branding of FKM Undip. “Hopefully this event can provide a better branding for Undip FKM at the national and international level. Then it can also improve or support Undip’s ranking in various fields.” said Dr. Budiyono.
The talkshow moderated by the Head of the Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences Section of Undip FKM Aditya Kusumawati, S.KM., M.Kes., was followed by a presentation by the Head of the Undip Rating Office Prof. Dr. Denny Nugroho Sugianto, ST, M.Sc. regarding the current condition of Undip’s ranking.
Prof. Denny explained that FKM Undip is an integral part of Undip’s branding. “Regarding the current condition of Undip, there are several things that we can discuss together and the Undip FKM is an integral part of Undip’s branding. This alumni consolidation can improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI). There are currently eight Undip Main Performance Indicators (IKU), of which six are contributions from alumni.” he explained.
In line with Dr. Budiyono, Prof. Denny revealed that the role of alumni is very important for the progress of the University towards World Class University (WCU). “Why is alumni consolidation so important, it is in order to achieve Undip’s vision. Furthermore, we will expect the role of these alumni, starting from the last 3 years, we will undergo one of the phases of WCU.” said Prof. Denny.
Prof. Denny added that the role of alumni is very vital because alumni also have a big contribution to Undip. “We will later become WCU, Research University, and PTN-BH, this is where the role of alumni is very dominant, therefore without the contribution, encouragement, and contribution of alumni, we seem to be difficult to achieve these 3 statuses.” he said.
Thanks to the contribution of Undip alumni and the academic community, Undip is now one of the leading universities in Indonesia and the world. “Our current university is in line with the university that was above us. With the contributions of alumni and the contributions of all of the academic community, Undip is already on the track or where we always want to show that the quality of education at Undip and the absorption of graduates from Undip are really in line with what we all hoped for. This is evident from the results assessed nationally and internationally.” concluded Prof. Denny.
