Interpreter Couple Evades Media After 10-Hour Interrogation in Extortion Case.

Bangkok: The husband and wife interpreters involved in a high-profile kidnapping and extortion case involving 300 million baht managed to avoid media scrutiny after being interrogated for 10 hours. The couple, Mr. Yun Daliang and Ms. Apasara, along with their relatives, secured their temporary release by submitting a 600,000 baht bail, as did nine police officers and one civilian implicated in the case.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yun Daliang and Ms. Apasara surrendered to authorities and provided statements at Thung Song Hong Police Station. The investigation officers, after determining that the couple had a fixed address and no intention of fleeing, granted them temporary release. This decision mirrored the earlier temporary release of the nine police officers and one civilian involved in the case.

Following their release, the couple quickly contacted their relatives, who arranged for a black car to be parked discreetly behind the police station. The couple then made a swift exit from the building,
avoiding the media by descending from the third floor in the rain, and left the scene without engaging with reporters.
