The higher our achievement beyond our target, the better Hannover, Germany (ANTARA) – The investment commitment achieved by Indonesia, as the official partner country of the 2023 Hannover Messe in Germany, surpassed the target by more than 100 percent, according to the Ministry of Industry.”Before the opening ceremony, the investment commitment (secured by Indonesia) has reached Rp30 trillion (US$2.03 billion) or more than the intended target,” the ministry’s Director General of Regional Resilience and International Industrial Access, Eko S. A. Cahyanto, stated here on Sunday (April 16) local time. The director general said after the House of Representatives (DPR RI) approved a budget of Rp140 billion (US$9.48 million) for Indonesia’s participation, as the official partner country in the 2023 Hannover Messe, the ministry had initially targeted the investment commitment made at the event to reach Rp14 trillion (US$948 million) or 100 times the budget. Hence, the Rp30-trillion commitment achieved at the event in Hannover reached exactly 214 times the budget or more than 100 percent of its target, he affirmed. “Praise be to God, (the target) can be reached, thanks to our massive campaign since being designated as the official partner country of the 2023 Hannover Messe,” Cahyanto stated. Several strategies, such as press conferences and promotional campaigns in various social media, offline, and online media, have been conducted on a massive scale to promote Indonesia’s participation in the 2023 Hannover Messe to the public. “It makes those who did not know, know, those who already know, convinced, and those who are convinced are keen to be our partner,” the director general stated. Meanwhile, he reiterated the Industry Ministry’s commitment to maintain the investment climate, facilitate ease of permit, and monitor investment plans to their realization for potential investors. “Besides, investments to Indonesia will also consider domestic partners. Our Industry Law requires industries to establish themselves at the industry zone, allowing them to be more trustworthy,” Cahyanto stated. He also expressed optimism that the investment commitment achieved by Indonesia through the Hannover Messe will continue to increase until the event’s conclusion. “We have achieved our target, and any surplus from it is a bonus. The higher our achievement beyond our target, the better,” the director general remarked. baca-jugaRelated news: President Jokowi, First Lady visit Hannover Town Hall in GermanyRelated news: Indonesia is open to collaboration in Hannover Messe: PresidentRelated news: Nineteen new agreements signed at Hannover Messe 2023: ministry
